“My approach is intuitive, drawing inspiration from Irish landscape. The changing light and mood echoing my emotions. I love to make small painterly sketches and drawings in situ, en plein air, that develop into larger works back in the studio. There the process of painting forms the essence of my work. I’m concerned with composition, colour, brushwork, texture and light.”
